Graham Potter reveals Brighton injury blow to Arsenal and Leeds United target after Everton defeat
Brighton boss Graham Potter said Solly March missed the loss to Everton with a hamstring problem.
Albion head coach said the 27-year-old suffered the blow midweek and was not making the day’s squad for the 2-0 loss to the Toffees.
March, who has reportedly been a target for Arsenal, Leeds United and Tottenham, has not long recovered from the knee injury that ruled him out of last season in early February.
After two encouraging games against Burnley and Watford, March was nowhere to be found against Rafael Benitez’s side, but his injury is not too serious.
When asked if his injury was a long-term injury, Potter replied, “No, I don’t think so. It just happened a little too soon for him. It’s a little hamstring strain. so hopefully Brentford will be okay.
“We lost Solly in the week so we lost a little bit of balance there. They have [Everton] got some great players forward and they exploited that. “
After the international break, Brighton will face Brentford on September 11, followed by Leicester City a week later, and then compete with Crystal Palace on September 27.
