Leeds legend Max Gradel was spotted in a Manchester United shirt
Max Gradel is a Leeds United legend, at least in the modern age. Naming players who achieved legendary status after relegation from the Premier League and before the era of Marcelo Bielsa – Gradel is one. He’s alongside Jonny Howson, Robert Snodgrass and more. But now the Leeds Gradel icon has been spotted in a Manchester United shirt.
Gradel, 33, spent two years at Leeds between 2009 and 2011. During that time, he played 82 times in all competitions – scoring 25 goals and creating 13 goals. It was crucial for Leeds to secure promotion to the League One championship. Even though we were sent off in the game, we did.
The Leeds Gradel icon… in a United shirt?
At present, Gradel still plays and impresses in Turkish football. Joined Sivasspor in the summer of 2020 from Toulouse, he has since played 48 times. During that time, he produced a whopping 27 goal engagements. The Ivorian ace has scored 12 goals and created 15 more assists.
He has always had a brilliant relationship with Leeds fans. But now Gradel has tossed it all in the air – being pictured in a Manchester United shirt. While the occasion was a charity match in his native Ivory Coast, Gradel is pictured in a shirt of our biggest rivals.
