Leeds United are yet to make an official transfer of Kai Wagner

Leeds United have yet to make an official offer for Philadelphia Union left-back Kai Wagner this summer, according to Tom Bogert.

The MLS insider, who also worked for the Guardian, reported that everything could still change over the next three weeks with a possible change in timeline.

No other clubs have moved either, with many clubs interested in the All-Star defender who has caught the eye as the best in the county.

writing on his own Twitter account, Bogert shared the latest news on a potential move coming from Elland Road before the end of the window.

“Still no official offer from Leeds United (or anyone else) for Philadelphia Union and MLS All-Star left-back Kai Wagner, sources say,” he wrote. .

“Plenty of time for that to change before the transfer window closes, but just interest for now.”

One to watch.

Leeds and Victor Orta could step in at any time.

Philadelphia Union manager Jim Curtin has already confirmed he has held talks with Jesse Marsch over the German, with the move potentially very close.

Los Blancos are making their interest known and it’s even said that a deal worth just £2.5million is possible between the two clubs.

Junior Firpo is still out for weeks and working on his injury, leaving Pascal Struijk as our only option to play there out of position during that time if no one is signed.

Wagner could step in and solve this problem instantly, and after playing in the Bundesliga, the next logical step could be a move to the Premier League.

With all the talk, there’s no smoke without fire and an offer is sure to arrive with Leeds ready to seal a no-delay move that will instantly solve their squad depth problem.
