Michael Jordan was once honored by McDonald’s with a $10,000 barbecue and even his own burger, the ‘McJordan’

Michael Jordan is considered the greatest of all time. However, he also had the best burger on the market, the McJordan!

McDonald’s is perhaps the largest fast food chain in the world. As such, the biggest fast food brands also need the biggest star associated with them.

Over the years, McD’s has brought together a star-studded lineup. This includes the likes of LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and even Michael Jordan.

In fact, in 1993, the channel ran a landmark ad featuring MJ and Larry Legend, which aired at Super Bowl XXVII!

McDonald’s created the McJordan in honor of Michael Jordan which included a sauce that sold for almost $10,000

In 1992, the city of Chicago was introduced to perhaps the biggest burger in the city’s history. McDonald’s released the McJordan Special.

The value meal, which paid homage to Michael Jordan, consisted of a quarter pounder with bacon and barbecue sauce. A pitcher of the same barbecue sauce was sold in 2012 for a whopping $9,995.

In fact, it was relaunched in 2020 with The Travis Scott Meal, but can also be made with a quarter pounder with cheese, no ketchup, and a side of barbecue sauce used for nuggets.

Thirty years ago, the meal was exclusive to Windy City, but now, if one followed the tips mentioned above, one would have a McJordan Burger in no time.
