Police tape Pudsey Street as man seen forced into car in ‘kidnapping’

A cannabis farm was discovered in a former bank in Pudsey after police were called to reports of a kidnap .

West Yorkshire Police received calls about a disturbance in Claremont Grove, Lowton and Manor House Street with reports that a man was forced into a car and driven away at 12.42am yesterday (Sunday).

A scene was set up while investigations were carried out to establish the circumstances.

However, while on the scene, officers found a cannabis farm in the old bank building.

Three men have since been arrested and remain in custody.

A spokesman for the force said: ‘Police received calls at 12.42pm yesterday about street disturbances near Claremont Grove, Lowtown and Manor House Street in Pudsey, with reports that a man allegedly forced into a car and chased away. .

“Officers were present and scenes were set up while investigations were carried out to establish the circumstances and identify those involved.

“At the scene, officers located a large cannabis farm in a former bank building at the junction of Lowtown and Manor House Street.

“Three men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping in relation to the initial incident and they remain in custody. Investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and to locate and protect the unidentified victim.
