Rangers legend issues Leeds United warning as Ryan Kent’s ‘exceptional’ potential shines
Whenever Ryan Kent’s future is discussed, the Leeds United name has never been too far off in the past two years.
The former Liverpool winger has been the subject of regular interest lately and Rangers legend Brian Laudrup was quick to mention the Elland Road side when discussing Kent’s potential.
Kent has just won the Scottish Premiership title with Rangers, scoring ten times for Steven Gerrard’s side.
And before the summer transfer window opens next week, former Gers midfielder Laudrup has warned all potential suitors that his former team simply cannot consider letting him go.
“‘I could name a few, but if there is one player where I would say’ keep it at all costs’ it would be Ryan Kent,” said the Dane. the Glasgow Times.
“Leeds have been chasing him for a year or two now,” he added. “He’s the kind of player you pay to watch. He’s the type to turn a boring game into a spectacular game and he opens up defenses. You need players like that. Not only in Scotland but also in Europe.
“He still has potential. In a year or two, I think he will get even better. For me, he is an exceptional prospect.”
Leeds were heavily linked with Kent in the summer of 2019, with the broad opting to permanently partner with former Liverpool youth coach Gerrard north of the border after spending the previous season on loan at the club.
