Pop-up spray park events will take place this summer in Gasoline Alley-Liberty Landing, Springbrook and Spruce View playground.

Family fun events are part of Red Deer County’s free summer recreational programs and are sponsored by EPCOR with a free barbecue included.

“We are thrilled to provide our residents with fun activities with the opportunity to explore and reconnect in their communities,” Jo-Ann Symington, community services manager, said in a statement.

The neighborhood concert series is also back for its third season, in partnership with the Red Deer Arts Council.

Outdoor community concerts will take place at venues across Red Deer County, with barbecue and family activities starting at 5 p.m. and live entertainment at 6 p.m.

Performances include:

• Him & Her, at Spruce View Community Hall, July 14.

• Richard and Deborah Popovich, at the Benalto Family Resource Center, July 28.

• Matt Blais, at Springbrook Mynarski Park, August 25th.

Backup dates will be organized in case of bad weather.
