‘Testicle Festival’ returns to Watsonville in August for 14th year – KION546

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV) — The “Testicle Festival” hosted by the Santa Cruz County Agricultural Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee will return in late August for its 14th year.

The event will take place on August 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Camp Estrada Deer.

Organizers tell KION that local chef Loretta Estrada will cook the Rocky Mountain Oysters (fried bull testicles) and firefighter Derek Witmer will grill the chicken.

Admission is $60 for adults, $30 for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 5. This includes all-you-can-eat Rocky Mountain oysters and a full barbecue chicken dinner.

The contest “It’s all in the sauce” will also take place. This contest is where people make dipping sauces with Rocky Mountain oysters. People can then vote for their favorite sauce.

Local band “No Respect” also announced they would be performing at the festival.
