The e-commerce consulting firm Amblique deploys the platform as a Marketplacer service for Barbeques Galore – Services
Australian barbecue and outdoor furniture retailer Barbeques Galore tapped Sydney-based e-commerce consulting firm Amblique to deploy the Marketplacer platform as a service.
The retailer plans to launch a third-party marketplace based on Marketplacer to enable the company to onboard new suppliers, expand its range and provide a personalized and integrated shopping experience.
Based in Melbourne, Marketplacer was the technology behind the BikeExchange Marketplace and was transformed into a separate entity to help create markets for other businesses.
The deployment comes after Barbeques Galore completed another project with Amblique to migrate its entire e-commerce offering to Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
“This is a great example of how we can help our customers move forward using the traditional approach to e-commerce,” said Amblique CEO Stephanie Byrne.
“Our recent partnership with Marketplacer puts us in an excellent position to provide Barbeques Galore customers with the best possible user experience. With their new high performing eCommerce store, we can drive more sales opportunities by giving shoppers everything they could want under one roof.
“It also gives us the ability to generate valuable, unified customer data through Salesforce Commerce Cloud to inform smarter marketing and sales strategies. “
Barbeques Galore Managing Director Angus McDonald said investing in digital capabilities is central to the company’s strategy to deliver an engaging omnichannel experience to its customers.
“Amblique has helped us align our business with Salesforce technology to help us grow in this space, and it’s very exciting that we can now use the Marketplacer platform through this channel,” said McDonald.
“The new Marketplace offering will create a world-class online shopping experience that will extend our offering well beyond the four walls of your local store, affirming our place as an Australian destination for the full backside experience. -court and outside, creating a true online community experience.
“We have great ambitions to grow our private product line, and with Marketplacer technology, we plan to integrate many new vendors and products to accelerate our growth trajectory. We already have a great list of brands, but we are confident that this extension will allow us to make our third-party sales model very easy. “
