Thursday’s Leeds United transfer news

The former West Ham teenager and England youth international has agreed with Los Blancos after turning down the offer of a first professional contract with the Hammers.
Perkins made senior appearances for David Moyes’ side last season but opted for a new challenge, no doubt encouraged by the path offered to Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood since signing two summers ago.
Head coach Jesse Marsch has revealed Perkins trained with Leeds after his contract with West Ham expired and has received “good feedback” about the player so far.
“He trained at Thorp Arch with our 21s and we’ve had great feedback so far. So I can’t wait to get back and get to know him more and work with him more on a day-to-day basis” , said Marsch during a pre-season tour of Australia.
When asked what he knew of the youngster, Marsch replied: “He has qualities and [is an] explosive goalscorer. I think he has flexibility in the positions he can play. He’s a smart player. We are really excited to add him to our club.
